Different Schemes available under A.H. Sector

To elevate the standard of living of the poorest among the poor, Govt. of India hav created different anti poverty programmes which are functioning in our State. The agencies monitoring these programmes are DRDAS, ITDAS.( in tribal districts) APICOL and SC-ST financing corporation to improve the standard of living of our BPL families, SC-ST communities of the State. The Animal Husbandry activities being a key activity is also been taken up by these agencies for income generation of our rural poor. In this process, the farmers who are bellow poverty line are being identified by the Concerned block. They are categoriesed as follow.

Self Employment

The Scheme for availing loan for the purpose of Animal Husbandry activities are formulated by NABARD every year. As per the NABARD Schemes, the beneficiaries of above category below poverty line (BPL family), apply for loan for the concerned block in turn & block scrutinize the applications on its merit & sponsor it to the concerned Bank for finance. The Bank sanction these applications on its merit as per the scheme enclosed by the block. After sanction, the borrowers are given with the required inputs by a committee formed at Block level, consisting of BDO, Bank & line Department. After that, the bank claims subsidy to the concerned agency for release of subsidy against the borrower and the subsidy is adjusted in a borrowers loan account. Regular monitoring & technical gui9dance to borrower is given by the line Department. Insurance of the inputs is mandatory and taken up by the concerned Bank on behalf of the borrower till the loan is repaid.
All the Animal Husbandry activities like Dairy, Goatery, Sheepery, poultry etc. are monitored according to the above guidelines under different schemes.
